Centralised Crash Thread

Most names are white as well. You need to change them manually when you get on.

We know about the problem. Just have to wait until Andy can fix it. Sorry.

Crashed, most likely due to excessive LogBlock queueing – my bad. There was a big grief in the BannerBank.

EDIT: Worldguard in BannerBank has also been added to prevent any similar incidents.

I come back from getting food and the server is shutting down… what happened??

The Creative/Survival server is down right now and it’s partly my fault.

To explain, I wanted a small area mixed with a list of different blocks. I asked Penny to w/e it for me since she seemed to know what she was doing. I had tried asking Vex beforehand but it didn’t seem to work so I thought maybe she would know if the command was wrong. Anyways, Penny must’ve accidentally selected a block a whole biome away and filled the entire desert I was in. I’ll insert a screenshot from the dynamap below.

Because of this I’d like to apologize in advance. I know Wairoa has been busy and all and this must be another pain to deal with. As of now it doesn’t look good, but I really hope they can figure it out. Again, I’m sorry; I probably should’ve just filled in the area by hand.
(I’m just assuming what happened based on what I know, so I may be wrong about what happened).

Screenshot from dynamap:

~Slim

server is a bitch glitchy and just shut down, not sure if its resetting or what

EDIT: its back online, disregard this

I don’t know if it’s my client or is it the server, because over the week, I keep crashing from the server and I found out I wasn’t the only one, so It could be the server making most players to crash, and my movement acts like an 80s game.

Same. Yesterday was okay, but the days before and today have been a nightmare, not being able to join for more than 30 sec without mc crashing on me.

:c

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

-Kyle

i keep repeatedly crashing as well

Just crashed again on a DELL Gaming laptop with 4 gigs allocated to MC and a GeForce GTX Graphics Card. I don’t think it’s the fact that some people have ‘potato computers,’ it’s instead probably a connection issue. @Wairoa @_andy

Same here, i joined and has 1 or 2 lag spikes, then after 30 seconds it freezes and crashes.
I think to myself, i just turned it on, its not warm at all, its the only app open WTF!??!

anyways glad not to be alone
I’m not sure im so glad anymore realizing there are like 15 ppl suffering from the same problem

Can people please upload crash reports. We can’t look into this without them.

On Windows:

[ol][li]Open explorer[/li]
[li]Type %appdata% in the file path bar
[/li]
[li]Open .minecraft[/li]
[li]Open the crash-report folder[/li]
[li]Look for ones that match up with the time you crashed[/li]
[li]If they’re too big to post on the forums, use Pastebin or similar[/li][/ol]

My computer crashed this time, idk whats wrong. This just happens on PCB

Also I looked through my crash reports and there are none from PCB at all even though I got the crash message in the launcher.

If you get a crash message in the launcher that should have some logs with it. Those are fine too.

Still can’t find any at all, but it’s worth mentioning that I allocated more RAM and now I am running ‘buttery smooth’ as vex would say. This means something substantial is lagging the hell out of the server.

I just went on the server on a new clean 1.12 profile and didn’t crash at all. Some players have reported that they’re not crashing anymore. If you’re using the normal Minecraft launcher and it gives you the crashed warning, there should be a crash report in the place I described here.

We believe the issue has now been fixed. If you get any further crashes, please let us know.
